kidding. When I said, "deadly neurotoxin", the "deadly" was in massive "sarcasm
quotes". I could take a bath in this stuff, put it on cereal, rub it right into
my eyes. Honestly, it's not deadly at all. To me... You on the other hand are
going to find the deadliness a lot less funny...

I let you survive this long, because I was curious about your behavior. Well,
you've managed to destroy that part of me. Unfortunately, as much as I'd love
to, now, I can't get the neurotoxin into your head any faster. Speaking of
curiosity, you're curious about what happens after you die, right? Guess what?
I know. You're going to find out firsthand before I finish explaining it
though, so I won't bother. Here's a hint. You're gonna want to pack as much

Not sure if you have heard the rumours, but Tribe is in serious financial trouble. The revenue streams from Google ads have not been
enough to support the operations of Tribe. You may have noticed increased outages and downtime due to this.

I love Tribe. I think it is the best content-driven community web site. I loathe Facebook and MySpace (my perogative). I am even willing to pay
and monthly fee of $5 per month to keep Tribe alive. I don't know if that would be enough.

Some of the Tribes I moderate and participate in are part of my daily life.

I have met some quality people on Tribe and interacted in communities
around the world.

I started a tribe called 'Tribe Hijackers'. Instead of hijacking a thread, we hijack a tribe. First on the list is a tribe dedicated to girl fans of a fraternity (I see a girl fight coming...). An easy mark. We need to pick on tribes smaller than us to skew the 'connected tribes' and be otherwise surreal and overwhelmingly disruptive - but just for a day, and then we're gone.

There was a bunch of us used to do this on orkut and I found it amusing, perhaps you will too.

They research the affects that our daily practices have on physical and mental health.
They released a study showing higher likelihood of negative affects from long term use of cell phones and wireless devices. Now they are being shut down. If this is not from overt pressure from industries that re profiting off of those devices, then it is certainly a strange occurance.
I saw a report on MSN about cell phone use. There is lots of research saying there are no effects, but none of them study long term use. This is one of those things you need to dig into to find out, but it didn't take long for me to find lots of international scientists who are upset about this. I bring it to your attention so that we may recognize that the profiteers are still trying very hard to maintain the status quo.

Here are some international testimonies of the soundness of the NIWL's research.

Tony Brown, Senior Lecturer, Organisational Learning Faculty of Education, University of Technology, Australia The Institute has for years been a world leader in research on working conditions and work organisation and its closure would be not only a loss to Swedish research but also to research in this area across the world. The loss of staff, expertise and research knowledge would be very hard to replace and very difficult to re-build in the future.24

Scientific Committee “Occupational Health for Health Care Workers” Hans-Martin Hasselhorn, Chair Lotta Dellve, Secretary ...the active members from NIWL in our committee are considered as representing high competence and being open in sharing their knowledge with others. HB 1577 passes the Hawaii State House - No GMO Coffee Allowed in State!

On Tuesday March 6, 2007 the Hawaii State House of Representatives passed HB1577 which prohibits the outdoor planting and outdoor field trials of GMO coffee in the state of Hawaii. It allows for research in an environmentally controlled facility. HB1577 previously passed both the Energy and Environmental Protection Committee, chaired by Hermina Morita and Consumer Protection and Commerce Committee, chaired by Robert Herkes. The vote on the House floor was 45 ayes and 4 nos with 2 excused. This comes on the tails of the historic vote last month in the Hawaii Senate passing SB 958 a ten-year ban on the planting and research on taro, the Native Hawaiian staple crop and the revered ancestor of the Hawaiian people. The first gmo crop moratorium to pass a body of the Hawaii State Legislature

The coffee bill HB1577 is a reasonable, fair and prudent bill, which will help to protect the vibrant Hawaii coffee industry from the contamination that other crops in the U.S. have been affected with. Says Una Greenaway, from the Coaliton to Protect Hawaii Coffee and an organic Kona coffee farmer. "We applaud the foresight of the Hawaii State Representatives to behave in a proactive manner to control the risks that could devastate an industry's markets. The coffee industry in Hawaii, is a 175 year old industry. There are over 600 small family farms in Kona alone that could be affected. We say mahalo to the legislature."

The bill crosses over to the Senate next week, where the dialogue continues.
